When it comes to learning how to drive, it is important to choose a driving school that has the experience necessary to guide you through the journey.
Here at Mark's School of Motoring, I have been teaching driving lessons in Ipswich to students for nearly 10 years and gained a reputation as one of the most reliable instructors in Ipswich and the surrounding areas.
As with anything in life, it is advisable to be well prepared before you begin your lessons. This includes getting to grips with the highway code and wearing appropriate footwear.
The theory test is just as important as the practical test and students often fall into the trap of thinking that they will coast through this part of assessment.
Getting to grips with the highway code and investing in hazard perception software can greatly increase your chances of passing first time.
During your driving lessons, you will soon learn what the various road signs mean and will be taught good road etiquette.
The test is comprised of two parts; a multiple choice section and a hazard perception test.

When it finally comes time to take your practical test, you should be fully prepared following the driving lessons that you have had with us.
The test normally lasts between 30-45 minutes and will start with an eye test which involves you having to read a number plate from approximately 20 yards.
Once this has been completed you will then be asked a few simple questions about the car before setting off.
The main thing to remember is that the examiner is looking for you to prove that you are a safe and competent driver. The key is to drive in a relaxed and controlled manner.
